The short version: your runs stay yours. We collect as little as we can, never sell your data, and you can delete your account in the app at any time.
What stays on your iPhone
Your training plan, runs, routes, paces, heart rate, and how runs felt are stored on your iPhone. With your permission, the app reads runs and heart rate from Apple Health, saves runs you record to Apple Health, and uses your location to record routes and get the forecast from Apple Weather.
What we store on our server
- Your account: your email address and how you sign in (Apple, Google, or email and password).
- Groups, if you join one: your first name (or the name you choose), the groups you’re in, your goal totals (miles and number of runs) and your posts. Never your routes, paces, heart rate, or effort.
- Beta sign-ups: the name and email you give us on this site, used only to invite you to the beta.
We use Supabase to host accounts and groups, and Resend to send account emails such as password resets.
What we never do
We don’t sell your data, show ads, or share your information with advertisers.
Your choices
In the app, Settings › Account lets you sign out or delete your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, group memberships, goal totals and posts from our server, and erases the app’s data on your iPhone. You can also export your data from Settings.
Health information
Higdon Running gives general training guidance, not medical advice. Health data from Apple Health is used only to show your training and is never used for advertising.
